who refine PARAMETER lambda investment demand share?!

hi
I working on CGE model for my thesis.
my SAM is balanced and my coding is correct.
when I run my model, the solver shows this:

******(I have 4 sectors: agr,rice, ind, ser)

PARAMETER lambda investment demand share: agr 0.078, rice 8.706018E-4, ind 0.432, ser 0.218 sum: 0.727

sum of these must be one, but sum is 0.727

lambda(i)=Xv0(i)/(Sp0+Sg0+Sf);

Xv0(i) =SAM(i,“INV”);

Sp0 =SAM(“INV”,“HOH”);

Sg0 =SAM(“INV”,“GOV”);

Sf =SAM(“INV”,“EXT”);

Xv0(i) investment demand
Sp0 private saving

Sg0 government saving
Sf foreign saving in US dollars

HOH: household
INV: investment
EXT: rest of the world
GOV: government

how I can refine this?

gratefu

Hi Chiman

If your sam is really balanced, then you can easily see where the problem is by display Xv0 as well as the row of your sam for investment.

Summing them up should give the same results…

It looks like you are missing some investments of an agent.

Cheers

Renger

Dear roger

I sent my SAM in appendix. what is your mean about balanced SAM? I think a SAM is balanced when difference of rows and column be 0.

I’ll be grateful if you check my SAM.

thanks a lot.

Hi Chiman

You have more entries in both your INV row as well as your INV column (resp. IND, SERV and no EXT in the row and EXT in the column). Only by sheer coincidence if Sp0, Sf0 and would give the same sum as the sum over the sector sum and giving shares adding up to 1.

Cheers
