Hello,
I get the same screen output from ./GAMS as Ziyu, and GAMS exits after the message (notice the last line where it says “stop”). It returns me to the command line, and no GAMS process is running. So how do I open GAMS on a trial basis without a valid license?
The previously given answer (“GAMS keeps running”) does not seem true in my case.
thanks very much
Clay

Hi,
GAMS is licensed by platform. If this license from school is a Mac
license, please contact support@gams.com. Even with an invalid license
you should be able to run demo models (300 vars, 300 equ), you might
get a warning that the license is not valid, but GAMS keeps on running
as long as the model fits within the demo size limits.
Hope this helps,

I had the license from school so it should work right? And even I
didn’t have a valid license, shouldn’t it run as a trial version?
Thanks.
