I was wondering if anyone can suggest me how to automatically generate algebraic equations from MPSGE models.
Markusen and Rutherford’s self-study mentions that MPSGE can automatically generate such outputs:
"to remove some of the mystery from the model description, we provide an algebraic presentation of the same equations which have been generated automatically by
MPSGE… " under $TITLE Model M1_1S: Closed 2x2 Economy (http://www.gams.com/solvers/mpsge/markusen.htm).
Thank you!

Hi ??? (it seems that not writing a name under a post is becoming the standard and starting with a greeting is too much asked for…)
Tom Rutherford always emphasizes that you should first be able to write down your models algebraically before you should start working with MPSGE.
MPSGE does not generate such outputs. Internally it does. There is no option to show the equations in the form you wish for.
However, there are many examples in Markusen’s tutorial with both the MPSGE and algebraic formulation. On MPSGE.org you can find more examples like that.
Cheers

Thank you for your quick response. I understand the benefits of establishing the models before using MPSGE, but is there any mechanism of getting MSPGE to output the internally generated algebraic representations for transparency purposes?
