Hi GAMS wolrd,
When I used SCIP solver to process my model, which is MINLP and consists of a lot of discrete variables, the solver came up with optimal solution but indicated ‘solving was interrupted [gap limit reached]’. What does it mean?
Thanks,
Dylan

Hi,
It means that SCIP has stopped the solving process when it reached the gap limit (optcr).
http://support.gams.com/doku.php?id=solver:what_is_optca_optcr
That is, it has found a feasible solution but did not finish proving optimality. If you run with default optcr, it means that it could prove that the solution found is at most 10% worse (w.r.t. objective value) than an optimal one.
Hope that helps,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Thank you very much, it is very helpful.
By the way, is it possible for us to change the optcr?
Thanks,
Dylan

Hi,
Yes, but setting the optcr option.
