Invalid MEX-file 'C:\GAMS\win64\24.3\wgdx.mexw64': The specified module could not be found.

Hello!

I am trying to link MATLAB with GAMS, and I get this error when trying to wrigt the wgdx file in Matlab:

Invalid MEX-file ‘C:\GAMS\win64\24.3\wgdx.mexw64’: The specified module could not be found.

Can you please help me!

My GAMS version is: GAMS win64 24.3.3
My Matlab version is: R2013a (win64)

I have looked at earlier post on the problem and I have tryed what is explained in this webpage:

Hi Ivan,

I have exaclty the same problem and I’m unable to solve it.

My computer runs as: windows 7, 64bits
My MATLAB version is: MATLAB R2014a
My GAMS version is also 24.3

I have also used the Dependency Walker to see what’s wrong with the mex file and get the errors:
“Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.”

And with the exact error of opening the following files:
API-MS-WIN-APPMODEL-RUNTIME-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ERROR-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ROBUFFER-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-STRING-L1-1-0.DLL
API-MS-WIN-SHCORE-SCALING-L1-1-1.DLL
DCOMP.DLL
GPSVC.DLL
IESHIMS.DLL

I have tried the following:

The only thing I see in the forums is that it works with the older versions of GAMS with the proceedure explaind in http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ferris/matlabgams.pdf
But I will still try to fix it with the “supported” actual versions.
Thanks for any help!

Hello,

is there already a solution to this problem? I encounter it as well.

Best
