Generating Scenarios

Hello Experts,
I would like to Ask what does Scenario means in the field of Energy management. and How can they be generated.

Actually I have been given an yearly Electricity Data (plot attached), Now that I have to Generate Scenarios and extract their probability of occurrence from this data… Is it possible to do this in GAMS…

Best Regards
Ali

Hello,

In general, scenarios writing, according to JANTSCH (1967) defined as “a technique which
attempts to set up a logical sequence of events in order to show how, starting from
the present (or any other given) situation, a future state might evolve step-bystep”.
Particularly, the scenario is suited to dealing with several aspects of
problem more or less simultaneously (FERRIS, 2005). I think this definition is also applicable in different disciplines of science.

All the best
