GDXXRW not opening excel file

Hi all,

I am trying to load an SAM in excel file into gams file using the command

$call “gdxxrw i=1modeltz.xls o=1modeltz.gdx index=index!a6”

I get the error:
**** Problem opening excel: cannot create an instance of excel

Can someone assist me in solving this problem?
