Hi Steve!
I have trouble installing procedure you suggested:

  1. %addpath ‘GAMs directory’; and %savepath; , I don’t know whether to
    add source file of GAMs or to add the path gams is executed from?
  2. in making new direction e.g. \tmp, after typing >>mkdir \tmp in
    matlab, it adds it into some other path.
  3. wht should I do for extracting test models and supporting files
    from the GAMS test library
    into the test directory? should I manually copy these 3 files
    (gdxmrw03, 04, 05) from gams testlib_ml to the new folder \tmp?
  4. for executing those 3 files in gams, I have to resave them by
    affix .gms to be able to run them in gams. is it correct way?
  5. after executing test files like gdxmrw03.gms, I face this error
    massage in gams: “gdxmrw03.gms: no such file or directory”.


    Besides in another try I faced the following errors:
  6. r1_result.gdx No such file or directory (in gams)
  7. Toolbox Path Cache read in 0.11 seconds.
    MATLAB Path initialized in 1.56 seconds.
    ??? Undefined function or variable ‘r_batch’. (in matlab)

my gams version is: 23.6.5
matlab: R2008R

Maria,

I believe all these questions are addressed in the amplified

If these are unclear or incomplete, let me know.
