Displaying low values in GAMS

Hey Friends,

Could someone please help me out with a problem I am facing with GAMS.

In my code, there is a variable which has a value of the order 10e-14. However, GAMS displays the value as 0. Is there any way to change the lowest value which the GAMS program can display ?

Hey,
You could try fixing or bounding the variable in question.

Hi Neeraj

At first sight I would say that it is probably not a good idea to have “meaningful” variable levels of the order of 10e-14.
Whatever the solver you use, it will most likely get in trouble with tolerance levels.
My advice would thus be to reformulate your model by “scaling” your variables such that their nominal value get closer to 1 if possible.

hope this helps,
cheers
