I would like to explain to me someone how i select my variables. From what i can think variables are these elements which i would like to find its value. Am i correct? Except this, i can use an equation and a fake constraint if i want to see the value of an element whithout to declare this as variable. Finally, which is the criteria where i can base on in recognizing procedure of a problem’s variables?
thanks a lot

Hi saosan:
Yes, you are correct. Variables are generally those values that the solver will find for you. That should be your criteria for “choosing” them.
The other kind of “elements” of a model are parameters, whom values YOU specify.
Does this solve your question ? Or do you have a reformulation of your question ?
Regards
Claudio

So in equation section i put only constraints and not some values who i want to calculate. Is it right?
