Hello, while looking for other tools to solve my models I found Pyomo, that looks like the closest alternative to GAMS if one wish to use the approach general-programming-language+specialised library (in my opinion, more flexible) rather than specialised-programming-language like gams.
I wrote a tutorial that shows how to implement the trasnport.gms model using the pyomo syntax:
