Windows Form User Interface for GAMS

Hi, I am system developer.
I’m using MS Visual Studio 2010 (C# language) as my primary IDE.
I wish to develop a system (Windows Form User Interface) that can communicate between this system and GAMS Software.
As usual, we need to include some reference (a Dinamic Link Library - .dll file) to the GAMS System from MS Visual Studio to fully
control GAMS Software input. Does anybody know how to do this? I already try to find that reference (.dll) file, but not found it.
Please help me

Thank you.

Regards,
Sie Ting

Hi,

In your C# project you need to reference GAMS.net4.dll. With a recent GAMS system this can be found in your GAMS system directory. There you will also find a folder ‘apifiles\CSharp’ which contains several examples using this dll. The best starting point will be ‘apifiles\CSharp\TransportSeq.sln’. The GAMS .Net DLL is documented in ‘\docs\api\GAMS.net4.chm’ (or here: http://www.gams.com/dd/docs/api/GAMS.net4.chm).

Hope that helps,
Lutz

Hi,

I am not sure, why you cannot find the DLL. Can you make sure that you are using the most recent version of GAMS (24.0, which can be found here: http://www.gams.com/download/)?
Also I do not understand why the link is not working for you, but if you installed GAMS 24.0 you will find the document also in \docs\api.

Best regards,
Lutz
