when does COUENNE stop? baron performance

Hi, guys
I am using COUENNE to get a global optimized solution. It looks like it finds a global solution but the process is always runing but the screen stops. what’s wrong with COUENNE? several hours gone…
Hope someone can tell me the reason. Thanks!
PS: I used baron to solve my problem, but it took 10 hours without a solution… I don’t why?

Hi,

Just a guess: Are you using the NEOS server? (http://neos-server.org/) I ask because I’ve noticed someone running long COUENNE solves on there since yesterday, and because “the process is always running but the screen stops” sounds like a phenomenon that happens with the NEOS server: if your solve takes more than a few minutes, the webpage will stop updating even though the server is still continuing to solve your problem. See http://neos-guide.org/content/FAQ, question #27. If I’ve guessed correctly and this is your problem, say so and I will give details of how you can retrieve your results from the server. If you are not using NEOS, I’m afraid I don’t know anything about COUENNE specifically, but maybe someone else here can help.

About your BARON solve, I can’t really comment without knowing the problem or seeing the result output. If you think this problem should be easier to solve, you can try attaching your model and its output to this post for us to look at.
