I’m trying to code a problem which has a scrap value function as
"max(R, x(t)), where R is a constant. Is it possible doing it with
GAMS?

You can find plenty of examples in the model libraries. If that doesn’t help, post the exact problem you are looking into.

In recent versions of GAMS, there is a built in version “gdxmrw” that allows data to be communicated to/from Matlab and Gams, and for gams to be called from matlab. This might be useful in your project.
