Reading GAMS solution information from Matlab

Dear All,

I am trying to call GAMS in Matlab, and I have a problem in reading the solution information from Matlab.

I think I have done the set-up of the interface correctly. And I restarted a few times after the set-up.

I am using GAMS win64 24.2 and Matlab 2013b (64-bit).

Now I am able to run gms models using Matlab commands, and I can see the correct results printing in my command window. But I cannot run “gdxWhos”, “gdxInfo”, “gdxInfo MtoG”, and etc. Matlab keeps telling me they are undefined, or “error in gdxOpenRead”.

For example, I got error messages like
“Error using gdxInfo
error in gdxOpenRead”

Hope to hear your suggestions, thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Tian

Hi Tian,

It is recommended to use the latest version of GAMS, see:
http://www.gams.com/download/

However, I suggest that you try to successfully reproduce the steps in the video link below?
