I'm a bit behind the times...

Hi,

I know I’m a bit behind the times - still running Mac OS X Tiger
(10.4) on my mac book. I’ve searched the other discussions, but
haven’t had much luck finding help for getting GAMS to work.
Specifically, I’ve successfully unzipped and installed as directed on
the website (http://support.gams.com/doku.php?
id=installation:how_do_i_install_the_gams_version_for_macintosh).

However, when I try to pull up the trnsport example as they do in that
video, I get the following output:

— Job trnsport Start 09/11/11 12:26:53 DII-DIG 23.6.5 Mac Intel32/

I’m pretty new to this stuff, so I’m not sure how to correct the
problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alex,

Try to run one of the other solvers - I would not be surprised if CPLEX was requiring Leopard or Snow Leopard. For example

gams trnsport lp=cbc

will run COIN/CBC as the linear solver. Or try lp=minos or lp=bdmlp, there are lots of solvers with LP capability.
