How is that possible? Although everything seems to be normal, one of the constraints is not satisfied!

Dear GAMS freinds!
Hope you are all fine and OK.
I have wriiten a code with GAMS. Although it has been stated in the listing that:
*** Status: Normal completion
one of the constraints, say variables nonnegativity is not satisfied.
How can that be possible?!?!?
Does anyone have an idea?
Although i have set the constraints of non-negativity for the variables, i have some of them having the sign of “-” with them.
Let me know if you have any suggestion.
With all best wishes for you;
Looking enthusiastically forward for your response;
Ali

Ali,

I believe the message “*** Status: Normal completion”

Is simply a message telling you that the run is done and the post-processing operation by GDXXRW completed normally.

In the log file, above that message, should be the report from your solver.

When I seek to solve your model by CONOPT, it reports infeasibilities.

**** SOLVER STATUS 1 Normal Completion

**** MODEL STATUS 4 Infeasible

The infeasibilities are associated with the equations GLOBAL and PARTIAL.

Perhaps another solver will report differently.

I hope this helps.

Paul

Sorry to bother, i forgot to attach the code,

Hi Ali
Your model status is infeasible and changing solver may not help you, Since its a Lp problem.
Probability The infeasibility can be made of tow source:
1-your Data
2- Equations “global” and “partial”
