Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here in this group.

I am new to GAMS and supposed to construct a model for Facility Optimization Model. I couldn’t find any published material regarding facility optimization using GAMS.

In my Problem, I have to pick raw material from “r” number of site to bring them on suitable “l” number locations where a suitable processing technique is to be selected among the available “j” number of techniques each having its specific capacity (say “c”). Objective is to minimize the overall cost.

How can start with this problem in GAMS?

Looking forward for your valuable suggestion and guidance, Please.

Look at the example problem in the model libraries. Start with the problem with SeqNr 001, it is a transport problem. You can get a brief idea on how to setup sets, parameters, variables, etc. Good luck.
