Error using the gdxrrw package on mac os x 10.9.4, Gams 24.2

Hello everybody,

I am currently getting an error while trying to load the shared gdx libraries in R. I am using this package on a mac: http://support.gams.com/doku.php?id=gdxrrw:interfacing_gams_and_r.

This is the error message, which is prompted by the igdx(“/Users/name/Applications/GAMS/gams24.2_osx_x64_64_sfx”) command:

Error loading the GDX API from directory /Users/name/Applications/GAMS/gams24.2_osx_x64_64_sfx
Could not load shared library /Users/name/Applications/GAMS/gams24.2_osx_x64_64_sfx/libgdxdclib64.dylib: dlopen(/Users/name/Applications/GAMS/gams24.2_osx_x64_64_sfx/libgdxdclib64.dylib, 2): image not found
The GDX library has not been loaded

Does anybody have a clue of how to fix this problem?

BenR,

Does the GAMS system directory you’re loading from exist? Looking at the path, I’d say the “/Users/name” part is likely to be wrong. The ‘name’ should be your username.
