I try to solve an electric power problem. Rated power of windgenerators some times has negative value (so takes zero, because is positive quantity). I would like to ask if it is logic or something goes wrong.
thanks a lot

Can you elaborate your question? Are you talking about the output from a wind generator or the rating of the machine? The rating of a generator is normally a parameter, but the output from a wind power plant would be a variable and can be zero.

To be more specific. I want to calculate the rated power of a wind generator. When i solve this problem at the Pdg variable Gams give to me some results. For example the best answer is to connect to 4 bus one wind generator with Pdg=1.76 kW. At buses 2,3 gives me level result is zero but in marginal area gives me negative numbers. Is this wrong? From what I know level area gives you optimal solution and marginal values ignored.

I believe that I fund the solution. Marginal values describes you how the optimal variable will change (this number is marginal value) if this variable rise up by 1.
